18th Dec, 2025

As 2025 closes, we're reflecting on a year focused on the K-12 market and how we worked with our clients to address their digital challenges.

We spent a lot of time meeting with publishers, edtech companies, and schools to understand their needs. This year’s conference list includes BETT UK, DLAC, ASU-GSV, ISTE, 1EdTech Learning Impact Conference, ISTE, Tech & Learning’s EdExec Summit, Frankfurt Book Fair, Holon IQ’s Back to School Summit, and the 1EdTech Member's Assembly.

In 2025, we joined 1EdTech as Contributing Members (see our write-up of the Member Assembly). Our focus includes interoperability standards—an announcement on a related partnership is forthcoming in January—as well as CASE standards, particularly their Competency-Based Education rubric. We continue to monitor the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and other AI developments, and we look forward to contributing to 1EdTech's work in 2026.

In August, we participated in a panel at the EdExec Summit's State of the Market Breakfast Panel with partners at Tatras Data, discussing, among other topics, responsible AI use in education. (See parts 1, 2, and 3 of the transcript on our blog.) Our conversations with publishers and schools this year have revealed a tension between AI-related efficiency and reliability. Institutions with reputations to protect are cautious about unreliable content reaching teachers and parents. We're seeing adoption focus on back-office efficiency, where time savings are welcome and minor errors avoid public visibility while organizations build confidence in the technology.

In addition, we've been working with a charter school to develop a learning platform for at-risk students. This application of comproDLS modular technology, combined with new authoring and AI capabilities, represents an expansion beyond traditional publisher partnerships. More details will follow in 2026.

We start the year at BETT UK in London at booth SR50. Sign up for a meeting time or stop by to discuss your 2026 digital initiatives. Until then, the entire Compro Team wishes you a Happy New Year!
